MORE ABOUT THIS PIECE

I think something that stood out to me as soon as I finished it is how bold and confident the strokes felt. A big departure from May’22. Although the palette is still muted, the color usage is bolder which was a reflection of how I felt during the month. June’22 was a month full of introspection and self reflection. It was a month where I had to actively pause and ask myself the questions I had been putting off mainly, what do I want my life to look like? While I still do not have a complete answer, the exercise allowed me to familiarize myself with things I want to actively cultivate in my life and my work moving forward. With that knowledge, came an acceptance for the human I am today, a patchwork of everything I have ever experienced and the people I have met. It was a beautiful realization and I am very happy with this piece.
